Meet Rick
I’m a storyteller at heart. I’ve spent years caring for people as a registered nurse, and that work has shaped how I see the world: full of quiet courage, complicated emotions, and moments that change everything. Writing is where I turn those moments into stories.
Outside of nursing and writing, I’m usually making something: graphic design pieces, paintings, music, home-brewed beer, or just enjoying a good glass of wine. I’m drawn to any kind of art that helps people feel seen, comforted, or a little less alone—and that’s exactly what I hope my stories do.
This website will grow over time with more of my journey, behind-the-scenes looks at my projects, and links to anything I think readers might enjoy. For now, you’re catching it at the beginning, while the pages are still being written.
What I Write
My work tends to live where real emotions meet a slightly bigger, stranger world. The details will fill in as books are released, but here’s the kind of storytelling you can expect from me:
Grounded & Speculative Fiction
Stories where ordinary people stumble into extraordinary circumstances—ancient secrets, unseen forces, or worlds that exist just out of sight. The focus is always on character, heart, and the quiet moments between the big ones.
Emotional Suspense & Family Drama
Tales where the real mystery lives inside people: what they hide, what they carry, and what they’re willing to risk for the ones they love. Think tension, moral gray areas, and the cost of silence.
Stories for Younger Readers
Gentle, imaginative stories for kids and families—centered on big feelings, bravery, and kindness. As this site grows, you’ll see more resources and extras for parents, caregivers, and young readers here.
